We Can Fly!

My nurses weren't so happy to learn that we were planning on driving to Disneyland next week considering all the side effects and complications that frequently attend chemo patients. Mark listened to their concerns and became burdened with worry, but quickly bit the bullet and started doing the next right thing: Find the money for airfare and get me on a plane.

Somehow....word got to his brother (who we have learned has more frequent flyer miles than tinkerbell has pixie dust) and as of this morning, Mark and I have tickets to fly together to Anaheim!

We're assuming, this same magic will transform my mother-in-law into Mary Poppins, as she now has the duty of driving all our children down there by herself. They are rather good children, and she is "practically perfect in every way"(and has the singing voice to prove it) what could go wrong?

Cancer sure has a way of making everything harder....but also of bringing out the best in us

  1. Don't let your arms get tired! If you happen to make a layover in Boise, let me know. ;)

  2. Here is a scripture I've had in my shirt pocket, the last few day at work, just because I needed some comfort and reasurance.

    D&C 123:7

..... let us cheerfully do all things that lie in our power, and then may we stand still, with the utmost assurance, to see the salvation of god, and for his arm to be revealed.

Take care, my prayers and thoughts are with you and your wonderful family always.

  3. Hey, Dev and I have two free adult park hopper one day passes that expire in June that we aren't going to be able to use. Do you want them? Seriously, because we won't be able to.

  4. Hey Bridget....what a gracious offer. Wish we hadn't already bought our tickets! You know, you can sell them on ebay if you don't wanna see them wasted.

  5. Awww, that's too bad. :) My aunt used to work for Disney and she gave us the tickets, so I wouldn't feel right about selling them. Let us know if you change your mind. Hope you are able to relax and that all goes well and you have a good trip!
